take in millions per year, and still barely make a dent. We can't possibly take everyone in dire straits. We've sent billions over the years and decades to try and help improve things there, and yet here we are. Sure we could "fix" the problems there in terms of crime, but these are sovereign countries, we can't simply just send in troops and/or police forces. And even if we do, at what cost and detriment to those here footing that bill.
